This is the top-level index of the PostScript File Server. Each of these
entries is actually a sub-directory, not a file. The contents of these
sub-directories can be examined by sending a "send index Programs" message
to the Server. Each individual file within one of these sub-directories
must be retrieved with a message like "send AFMFiles Palatino-Roman"

News Contains interesting news items about PostScript, printers,
and more available fonts. [ currently empty Sat May 2
		13:47:03 1987 ]

Programs	Contains an assortment of helpful or interesting Post-
Script files, including error handlers, a sample Adobe
		Illustrator file, and others.

AFMFiles	Contains AFM files (Adobe Font Metrics) for most or all
currently released Adobe fonts. Listed by full PostScript
		name (for example: AvantGarde-Book)

APDFiles	This directory WILL contain APD files (Adobe Printer
Description files) for currently available PostScript
printers. These files contain much of the information
that is in the supplements, but in machine-readable form
intended for parsing by spooling and document management
		software. [ currently empty Sat May 2 13:48:20 1987 ]
