Date: Tue, 2 Jun 87 15:04 PDT From: <DBUERGER@SCU.bitnet> Bill Stackhouse asked where TeX/LaTeX for VMS could be obtained. You can get the most recent version of TeX and LaTex in ready-to-run, backed up format on tape from Maria Code, Data Processing Services, 1371 Sydney Dr., Sunnyvale, CA 94087. The price is $92 for the first tape adn $72 for the second, which you might need if you want both 200/240 dpi CM fonts as well as 300 dpi CM fonts. For more info, see the TUGboat, Vol. 8 (1987), 1:85-86. David J. Date: Wed, 3 Jun 87 09:58:03 EDT From: Richard Furuta <furuta@brillig.umd.edu> Another TeX on VMS version is available from Kellerman and Smith in Portland, OR. I have their address as Kellerman & Smith 524 SW Third Ave. Portland, OR 97204 (503) 222-4234 Kellerman and Smith are the VMS TeX site coordinators for the TeX Users Group. It's been years since I had anything to do with a VMS system but my belief is that they are doing a consciencious effort of providing an easy-to-install version of TeX as well as being very good about bug fixes, etc. My impression is that the Maria Code tape is not as supported to the same degree as the K&S tape. --Rick ---------------------------------------- Submissions to: desktop%plaid@sun.com -OR- sun!plaid!desktop Administrivia to: desktop-request%plaid@sun.com -OR- sun!plaid!desktop-request Paths: {ihnp4,decwrl,hplabs,seismo,ucbvax}!sun Chuq Von Rospach chuq@sun.COM Delphi: CHUQ Now, where did my ex-wife put my Fairy Dust?
