Certainly a finite number of words that could be included. Would solve many problems of looking up proper hyphenation. The word list from the American Heritage Dictionary is available on
magtape. Look up the publisher in the dictionary and give 'em a call.
The tape includes the capitalization, syllabication, and stress
symbols from the dictionary. In fact, it looks like it was generated
directly from the typesetter input. A friend had to convert the character
set it arrived in, to the local (APL) character set, and noticed a few
glyphs that only occurred once or twice. When he looked in the printed
dictionary, indeed there was a little centered square there rather than
the usual centered dot!
