PRODUCT ENGINEERING POSITIONS

80186/80286 TASK FORCE
Intel currently has openings for experienced Product
Engineers and new college graduates within the 80186/80286
Task Force. We are the group responsible for bringing up
Intel's newest microprocessor families. Excellent opportun-
ities exists for qualified people within this dynamic and
highly visible group. All positions include good benefits
and relocation packages.

iAPX186/188 Senior Product Engineer
Responsibilities include test program development and
enhancement; yield analysis and improvement; introduction of
new products to production; and interfacing with design,
process, and marketing engineering. Supervise and direct
the development of new engineers and technicians. Responsi-
ble for developing the manufacturing capability for
iAPX186/188 microprocessors. Two to five years engineering
responsibility within electronics/semiconductor field pre-
ferred. Interaction/communication skills as well as super-
visory skills beneficial. BSEE or MSEE.

iAPX186/188 Product Engineer (Automation Support)
Develop and maintain engineering and office automation
tools to enhance the manufacturing capacity for the
iAPX186/188 microprocessors. Develop tools for automated
characterization and analysis of complex microprocessors,
implement office automation system on personal computer net-
work, develop software utilities and programs on several
computer systems, and system administration of local area
network. Knowledge of software and microcomputer hardware
required. Knowledge of VLSI testing desirable. Experience
within many of the following specific areas: Pascal, C, and
assembler programming; VAX/VMS, RSX/11, Unix, and MS-DOS
operating systems; Fairchild Factor and Teradyne Pascal-T
tester programming languages. Interaction/communication
skills as well as supervisory skills beneficial. BS, prefer-
ably BSEE.

iAPX286 Product Engineer
Responsibilities include test program development, pro-
duction ramp up, yield improvement, cost reduction, and
other projects in the 80286 family product line. Other
important tasks are customer interfacing, and coordination
of other manufacturing and administrative groups. Immediate
supervisory responsibilities. One to four years experience
in MOS digital circuits required; experience with Fairchild
Sentry or Teradyne J941 testers is highly desirable.

Entry Level Positions
Entry level product engineering positions for new col-
lege graduates are available with the 80186/80286 Task
Force. Typical responsibilities are developing automatic
testing capability on state of the art test equipment,
analysis and characterization of new devices, performing
failure analysis to implement yield improvements, providing
engineering support to manufacturing, working with customers
and other engineering and support groups, etc. These posi-
tions offer the excellent opportunity to work with many of
the areas associated with VLSI technology.
