[comp.text.desktop] Ready Set Go! 4.0 upgrade details

chuq%plaid@Sun.COM (Chuq Von Rospach) (09/22/87)

For those that might be interested, I called Letraset about RSG 4.0 today.
If you are an owner of RSG 3.0, you can upgrade by sending a photocopy of
the front of your RSG 3.0 disk (the one with the serial number) and a check
for $85 to:

	Letraset
	40 Eisenhower Driver
	Paramus, NJ 07653
	Attn: Lynn

Include your phone number in case they have questions.

They told me that it was currently shipping, but that there were 5,000
upgrades already in the queue, so to expect a week or so of delay.

Here are the features of RSG 4.0 from the latest flyer I've gotten my hands
on:

o The toolboxes have been integrated into a new tool bar to keep them
accessible for each document you're working on (and also to be
	more usable under Multifinder).

o A new grabber hand to make scrolling easier [YAY!!!!]

o Diagonal drawing tool.

o Automatic runarounds of any size or shape objects, with a user settable
margin between the graphic and the text.

o Tabloid size pages up to 99 x 99 inches.

o Facing pages that allow you to interactively view, edit and lay out a two
	page spread.

o ability to preset hyphenation specification

o manual or automatic kerning and word spacing.

o full Encapsulated Postscript (ESPF) support.

o Tag Image File Format (TIFF) support

o 100,000 word spell checker

o full style sheets, so you can define a standard layout and modify the
entire document by changing one item.

o Glossaries for commonly used material.

o Reads Word, WriteNow, Macwrite, or Ascii. [no fullwrite?]
