Senior Software Personnel

Myrias Research Corporation is designing and building a series of
multicomputers consisting of thousands of MC68000's and
associated memory. The first in the series is the Myrias 4000.
The Myrias system is made possible by a breakthough in parallel
processing software which allows very simple programming of
cycle-intensive problems using an extended Fortran.

Myrias is currently seeking two senior software professionals.

A SENIOR SYSTEMS PROGRAMMER in the UNIX (TM) group.

The position is lead developer in the networking software
section, which is responsible for porting 4.2BSD network software
to the Myrias 4000. The successful candidate will have a degree
in computing science or a related discipline and several years of
experience in network software development and support,
particularly in a UNIX environment, as well as experience with
both X.25 and TCP/IP protocols.

A SUPERVISOR in the UNIX group.

This position involves day-to-day supervision and training of
about five junior programmers, as well as some programming and
design work. The project is to port UNIX to the Myrias 4000,
replacing significant portions of the kernel in the process. We
are looking for a mature, experienced individual who has
successfully supervised large software projects.

Myrias offers the most exciting system programming challenge
available in Canada.

Salary will be competitve.
