I am working with EROFF (a typesetting program that is similar to TROFF) and need to include graphics with the manual I am producing. The EROFF manual claims to allow the use of McPaint Bit-mapped graphics, after having been transferred over a phone line to the UNIX machine running the EROFF program. Does anyone know of any McPaint-type programs that can work in a UNIX or a DOS environment (preferably UNIX), and on an AT&T 6300+? Assuming that you're producing output destined for a PostScript device (e.g., LaserWriter), then you should be able to use MS Windows and/or GEM drawing programs that produce PostScript and then pass the PostScript through EROFF to the printer. I'm not an EROFF user; actually, our company has a competing product that can do the above, and I'm simply assuming that EROFF can also do it.
