PageMaker 2.0 on the Mac uses a "TIFF" file format. Does this
format make PostScript to Linotype conversion much faster for
bitmap graphics? It appeared to... Also, what other Mac software
uses this format? For instance, XPress didn't :-( Apparently
some scanners do. Anything else?

Ready,Set,Go! 4 does (i.e., you can put standard Mac bitmap (MacPaint),
PICT (MacDraw), encapsulated PS, and TIFF in an RSG picture frame). If you
use TIFF, the grey scaling (halftoning) is shown on the screen, giving you
a better idea of what your output will look like.
