Getting a copyright is the simpliest thing in the world and may be the ONLY Federal goverment form that you DON'T need a Philadelphia lawyer for. All you have to do is write a letter to: Copyright Office Library of Congress Washington, D. C. 20559 and ask them to send you their circulars (no charge) on how to go about getting a copyright. They will also send you the right forms if you tell them the type of item that you wish to copyright. Wait a minute... I have the form types right here: Form TX: for published and unpublished non-dramatic literary works Form SE: for serials, works issued or intended to be issued in intended to be continued indefinately (periodicals, newspapers, magazines, newsletters, annuals, journals, etc.) Form PA: for published and unpublished works of the performing arts Form VA: for published and unpublished works of visual arts Form SR: for published and unpublished sound recordings The directions are easy to understand, you can fill in the form your- self, and it only costs $10 to register your copyright. If you have any other questions or need help, I'll be glad to offer assistance. I have 3 copyrights myself...so, it can't be hard at all! ...Joan Upham (POSTMAST@SNYPOTBA.BITNET) ---------------------------------------- Submissions to: desktop%plaid@sun.com -OR- sun!plaid!desktop Administrivia to: desktop-request%plaid@sun.com -OR- sun!plaid!desktop-request Paths: {ihnp4,decwrl,hplabs,seismo,ucbvax}!sun --- Chuq "Fixed in 4.0" Von Rospach chuq@sun.COM Delphi: CHUQ
