This raises important questions. For starters, I think it's absolutely 
right to say that Illustrator is for formal drawings. Even from looking
simply at their ads -- pages of technical illustrations of motor parts --
its emphasis is clear. In FreeHand it's easier to do sillier things -- i.e.
illustrative line drawings with screening -- but harder to control. The features
are more extensive and controllable, but FreeHand can currently handle
very little as far as page size.

I'd be interested in finding out more about SuperPaint II. It will supposedly
have PostScript, 2500 dpi, 1200 dpi, and 300 dpi modes and abilities. That
would be amazing as far as transportability and adaptation to machinery.
