I've seen ads for the HP DeskJet printer and have even wandered into a local Computer Store and looked at one. The print quality of the demo was fairly nice, and I liked the matte quality of the print (unlike the usually shiny quality that laser printers print). My question is this: Has anyone out there in NetLand actually used one of these printers with either Ventura or PageMaker (under MS-DOS, if it makes a difference)? The ads don't promise total compatability with anything - either they say "compatable with most ... applications" or something similar. I can't even find out if the Epson FX-80 emulator cartridge is 100% (or even less) Epson FX-80 compatable. If so, how does it do on text mixed with graphics or scanned & cropped half-tones? If not, thanks anyway. ---------------------------------------- Submissions to: desktop@plaid.sun.com Administrivia to: desktop-request@plaid.sun.com UUCP: {amdahl,decwrl,hplabs,ihnp4}!sun!plaid!desktop{-request} Archives can be gotten from the archive-server.
