Having recently completed a number of projects that involved electronic transfer of documents among several authors and to publishers located in other countries, I am interested in hearing what problems others have had in their own experiments in "electronic publishing." What problems has the electronic medium created for you that you wouldn't have had in the "old fashioned" world? Here's some general sketches of things that occur to me as troubles that I've encountered: added >from's, strange error messages, etc., caused by the forced use of an inappropriate mechanism (mail) as transfer medium. Inconsistent environments causing odd formatting changes Mailing electronic media across national borders I'd like to hear what's happened to you! Drop me a line and I'll collect the responses. --Rick furuta@mimsy.umd.edu uunet!mimsy!furuta ---------------------------------------- Submissions to: desktop@plaid.sun.com Administrivia to: desktop-request@plaid.sun.com UUCP: {amdahl,decwrl,hplabs,ihnp4}!sun!plaid!desktop{-request} Archives can be gotten from the archive-server.
