>It's easy to reproduce the error. Just create a chart and include an >"escaped" character in a bar label. For example I wanted a label to >look like > ``Real'' work >so I typed: ESC-" Real " work >It looks just fine in print, but PLEASE try to save it! :-) :-( >Now for something completely related: does anyone have anything to say >about UPS, supposedly a university version of TPS??? All information >is extremely appreciated. I am using UPS 3.0.6 and am please with it. I tried your ``Real'' work bug and encountered no problem saving the file. When we first got UPS, we encountered a bug in printing some math symbols just as we received an update which fixed the problem. My only complaint are mainly with the graph utilities. For instance, the line graph is limited to six lines (of course you can duplicate and overlay), and you can only select one line type for all the lines. Also, it would be nice to be able to specify the _increment_ for labelling the axis. If you don't like the ones the program decides you have to not show them and roll your own. But these limitations are all in the graphs. Overall, the system is powerful. We don't really use it for entire papers, rather we use it to make diagrams and large-size text that we later xerox onto transparencies for overheads. I especially like the equation and the numerous symbols available. ---------------------------------------- Submissions to: desktop@plaid.sun.com Administrivia to: desktop-request@plaid.sun.com UUCP: {amdahl,decwrl,hplabs,ihnp4}!sun!plaid!desktop{-request} Archives can be gotten from the archive-server.
