[comp.text.desktop] WYSIWYG maths and graphics

andrew@uunet.UU.NET (Andrew Jennings) (05/30/88)

I'm posting this for a colleague, mail me and I'll forward to him.

I would be interested to know whether there is available ( or will be
available in the forseeable future) a UNIX-based integrated
graphics/text editor. It would need to have on-screen "what you see is
what you get" maths symbols which could be moved/copied/saved by mouse
etc., and preferably integrated with a package for adding graphic
blocks - eg diagrams, graphs, charts and the like.

We would be interested in using such a facility with a TEK 4014 compatible
terminal and a UNIX-known laser printer.
Thanks and good luck - Geoff. S.
