A senior programmer is needed at the University of California, Berkeley
computer center to maintain UNIX systems software and associated products
on VAX and PDP computers.

Job duties will include:

	Maintenance of production software on all UNIX computer systems;

	Analysis of the causes of system crashes by debugging post-mortem
	core dumps or by other means;

	Modification of systems code to implement fixes, document changes and
	installation of new versions on all production computers;

	Providing on-call maintenance of production systems including
	filesystem repair and diagnosis of hardware failures.

Substantial experience with UNIX including 2 years programming
in C required. Familiarity with the UNIX kernel preferably BSD.

Salary range $30.2K-$36.5K.
