Here are some unrelated DTP questions:
1. Even with the Ventura 1.1 patched version our systems hang several
times each day. I read in the VUNA newsletter that the `tip' about copying
an `ideal.inf' file to `vp.inf' at startup can lead to hangs. Any comments?
Config is NCR PC810, NCR DOS 3.1, no TSRs,
2. I have had my eyesight tested recently and it is OK, but has anyone else
found that a Wyse 700 (Amdek 1280 in USA?) makes the Ventura tag menu
practically unreadable? Our downtown Melbourne power supply is not the best,
but would it aid or aggravate screen flicker? I have read nothing but praise
for this monitor, so I hope this is not an isolated case. We have 5 of these
monitors, so it is not likely to be too isolated a case.
3. Any comments on the Xerox XPS-701 system?
