The problem with curling paper is usually due to excessive moisture in the paper, in the printer room, or the storage room where the paper is kept. Sometimes the paper is produced with too much moisture. When the paper is heated in the printer, it dries and curls. You might try switching paper brands, just in case. We use Hammermill Tidal and FASCOPY D without any curling problems. For the past 6 months I have worked daily with the Laserjet, Laserjet+ and LaserjetII on a daily basis, and have never had paper curling problems. We keep our paper in metal cabinets in our copier room, and buy only genuine Xerox paper. We get the stuff from Xerox SupplyNet (800) 822-2200, and the label on the plain white paper says "Dual Purpose 8 1/2 x 11." It's Xerox 4024 paper, 3R721, 10 ream carton, Substance 20 (75g/m sq.) White, grain long. We have also used their colored papers with great success. ---------------------------------------- Submissions to: desktop@plaid.sun.com Administrivia to: desktop-request@plaid.sun.com UUCP: {amdahl,decwrl,hplabs}!sun!plaid!desktop{-request} Archives can be gotten from the archive-server.
