UNIX, C, GRAPHICS, NETWORKING, WINDOW MANAGEMENT H/W and S/W JOB OPPERTUNITIES IN SUNNY SCOTLAND Ferranti are looking for hardware and software engineers to join our Workstation project: We are building an ether-networked single-user colour-graphics Workstation. The machine is based on National Semiconductors 32032 (one at present, but multi-processor to follow), high-speed bit-sliced colour graphics, ethernet, window-management and of course Unix* (Genix at present, but 4.2bsd in the very near future). Applications are invited from hardware engineers to help design peripheral interfaces, memory boards etc. Applications are invited from kernel hackers to help with the port of 4.2bsd to the 32032(s), as well as help keeping our Vaxes alive. Knowledge of the internals of 4.2bsd, and to a lesser extent, the VPM portions of System V would be an "advantage". Applications are invited from Unix/C programmers to work on graphics applications. Send CVs and/or questions to me via mail, email etc. Simon Kenyon. Ferranti Bell Square, Brucefield Estate, Livingston, West Lothian, EH54 9BY, SCOTLAND.
