We currently have quite a sizable documentation effort using Context Corp's documentation managment system - DOC. It is an extremely powerful system for producing and managing high quality publications in great volume. For the back end, we are printing to an Imagen printer using the Impress page description language. The problem is this: Although I have no problems with Imagen printers, we want to increase our throughput capacity are now faced with Imagen's high prices for a new printer. I would *like* to run a dual back-end off of the system and run postscript as well (postscript printers are sooooo much cheaper). However, DOC together with Impress allows the definition of custom fonts - something we have exploited fully within our documentation. Question: Does anyone know if postscript can support this same functionality? -- Danny Wilson IDACOM Electronics danny@idacom.uucp Edmonton, Alberta alberta!idacom!danny C A N A D A
