[net.jobs] network programmers needed

chris@mddc.UUCP (Chris Maloney) (04/21/84)

MDDC is looking for two good UNIX system programmers, familiar
with UNIX internals, to help us develop a distributed operating system
based on 4.2bsd. By distributed operating system we mean an
operating system which allows distributed file and processor access
with a syntax like that used to access local resources. This effort
will be based on the 4.2bsd O.S. and network support and the Bell
Telephone Manufacturing's(Antwerp) NETIX operation system (a System III
derivative). The system will support multiple types of communications
hardware including Ethernet hardware. The user view of the system
will be similar to that of Newcastle Connection but the networking
software will reside in the kernel.
