St. Olaf is a private liberal arts college located approximately 30 miles from Minneapolis. The Academic Computer Center maintains a DEC PDP 11/70 and VAX 11/780 (running UNIX, of course), as well as a bunch (50) of microcomputers for the college community. The primary goal of tha ACC is to provide the highest possible level of computing support for faculty and students in all academic disciplines. The ACC does not deal with grades, payroll or accounting and does not have (or want) a Cobol compiler. All computing is free and unrestricted to St. Olaf students and staff. Due to the diverse interests of the faculty, software development opportunities are many and varied. if (you_are_interested && enjoy_a_college_environment) apply(IMMEDIATELY); Victor Lee -- {decvax,ihnp4}!stolaf!vtl -- (507) 663-3485
