Electronic Composition & Imaging is a fairly good Canadian desktop publishing magazine. Some people have to pay for it ($25.95 in Canada, $45.95 in the U.S., which can be charged to Visa or American Express), but other people get it free. (Perhaps if you send EC&I magazine a letter saying that you would like a free subscription, you won't have to pay.)
