Okay. I'll try to do this right this time. I have a color Sun 3/110 running X11R4. When I use FrameMaker, the various control panels, menus, etc., default to the Motif standard black type on blue background. (Why this is the default is beyond me.) This causes beaucoup eyestrain. Can someone tell me what I diddle to change this to a nice pastel color? Needless to say, I am not an X-person. Add the following to your .xdefaults file: Maker*background: favorite_color This changes the color of the Frame control panels in document windows, dialogs, etc. There are references for other windows in the FrameMaker Reference manual, so you can probably change individual windows also, if desired.
