Interleaf now has two addresses for public email. Other address categories
will be added if (over time) "leafmail-misc" becomes an unwieldy catch all.
leafmail-bugs Read by Interleaf QA.
leafmail-misc For any other comments or questions.
The complete paths for these addresses are:
..!{sun!sunne,umb}!ileaf!leafmail-{bugs,misc}
ileaf!leafmail-{bugs,misc}@umb.edu
Also, we are (as of a couple of weeks ago) now receiving "comp.text.desktop".

An update on Interleaf for Suns: an ad in the premier issue of
SunTechnology says that full Interleaf is now $12,500, and you can buy
restricted packages for $1,250 and $6,500. In addition, it says Interleaf
runs within SunWindows, but who knows what that says about conventional mouse
and key usage.
I still think this is too expensive. Interleaf offers graph and table
generation, and equations (I think). Frame Maker 2.0 will support equations
and tables in June, and still costs only $2,500.

It is my understanding that the Interleaf software will not run on an
AT class machine. Interleaf is working on the view only software but
nothing is available as of yet. Interleaf does have a word-processor
that runs on an AT class machine. I have not used that software because
we have a company standard of WordPerfect.
I have about 9 months experience on Interleaf running on a DEC
Vaxstation II under VMS.

Does anyone have a phone number for Interleaf info? Also, I am looking for any information on Publishing/Documentation software for Unix based systems. Preferably, V.4, X windows, but right now am hungry for any and all info. You asked for a phone number for Interleaf info. Well, here it is. Interleaf, Inc 25 First Street Cambridge, MA 02141 (617) 621-1241 ------------- On another note, I use Interleaf quite a bit, I love it. I have framemaker on my system also, but for what I use -- which is tables & charts and lots of text. I understand that Framemaker is not expensive, but Interleaf is. We do have the full package, this includes graphic package, a book package, a tables package. I teach staff members here to use different parts of the package. It is not a real easy sit down & make something up package. It is very complex, but does a great job. We did one thing here, our computer people put in postscript because it works faster & prints much better than theirs. Good luck. Audrey McVean m1alm00@fed.frb.gov

I have had alot of trouble finding anyone who is familiar with the INTERLEAF package. Could someone point me in the right direction with this stuff? Can anyone tell me how to group components so that they don't split over separate pages. I also want to define several keyboard macros to execute common commands, but I can't seem to find any documentation on this option. I love the package, but it's not easy to learn nor well documented. Jeff Warrington jsw5@pl118g.cc.lehigh.edu Student Konsultant jsw5@ns.cc.lehigh.edu
