Some of the documentation sent out to users who got the 'Freebies' (FeaturesPlus) documentation is wrong in the part where it discusses the new grabber-hand feature. According to the docs, the grabber hand is enabled when you make that selection in the new Misc. Preferences menu, and when you make the selection, the usual CMD-OPTION-click function is turned off (likewise, OPTION plus click). But they made an error. Apparently their engineering folks added a method at the last moment whereby you can have it both ways. 1) Enable the grabber-hand selection. 2) If you want to use one of the above-mentioned commands for changing the view, press CAPS LOCK, toggling CAPS LOCK on. Give the command you want, and then 3) Toggle CAPS LOCK back to OFF to re-enable the grabber hand. It works on the computers of a couple of people I have mentioned it to; another fellow told me he could not get it to work. I don't know why it wouldn't work for him, but it certainly works for me and I'm glad they did not make it impossible to have it both ways. Mike Arst, Seattle, WA polari!arst@sumax.seattleu.edu
