MANAGER, NETWORK SYSTEMS & TECHNOLOGY ------------------------------------- Excellent career opportunity for senior network systems professional to plan, manage, and participate in development and implementation of University-wide computer and video networking systems, including integration of subnets in a hybrid broadband- baseband environment; participate in the most complex and challenging technical projects as well as manage the group's efforts. The successful candidate will have demonstrated general expertise in network software (protocols) and hardware with specific implementation experience and ability to provide technical management of complex networking projects. Advanced degree in CS/EE plus directly applicable experience preferred; equivalent combinations of education and experience acceptable. NETWORKING CONSULTANT --------------------- Suport Univ. depts. in planning, installing, and interconnecting LAN's; evaluate LAN products, review config. plans, oversee installations, advise on special problems, train system mgrs. and prepare guidelines. The sucessful candidate will be experienced with state-of-the-art networking hardware and software, able to define and systematically apply installation controls and diagnostic techniques, and will possess excellent communications skills. NETWORKING EDUCATION SPECIALIST ------------------------------- Define needs, organize, and carry out networking documentation projects, including both techn. & community info. materials. Requires 2 or more yrs. exp. tech. writing, preferably with microcomputer and data comm./networking exposure; effective prose styles adaptable to varying audiences and purposes; work independently with a minimum of direction.
