[comp.mail.elm] ELM version 1.7 or greater?

What is the status of Elm version 1.7 or greater?  The last I heard
it was in Beta test at purdue?  When will it be released to the
general net-public?   I'm using Elm 1.5 and it has some annoying bugs
I would like to get fixed.  I know there probably were patches, but
I've missed them.

There is a file 'elm-1.7-beta.tar.Z' (I think I got the name right)
in ~pub on j.cc.purdue.edu.  I know nothing of the status, proposed
release date etc. of this version.
