Neither our 4.2 and System V systems have the macro package required to correctly format the elm documentation. The runoff is invoked as '{tn}roff -mm blah.blah', which causes the formatter to try to use /usr/lib/tmac/tmac.m Where can I get this package? Jim Chappell UUCP: ...!umd5!vrdxhq!ms3!jrc ISN Corp. >Where can I get this package? [tmac.n]
tmac.n is available with the news documentation, because the people
writing news software wanted to provide a macro package that had mm
and ms and me (or just two of those) capabilities, but was not
proprietary, since neither of those is carried by all versions of
UNIX. So they wrote their own macros and distribute them for free.
I believe that the nethack documentation is also written for
"nroff -mn".
What you need is the "news.doc" or whatever it is called, available
usually separately from news.tar.Z in the archive sites. Send me mail
and I can mail it to you.
