After a few mail messages between Dave Taylor and I, the following situation
has arisen:
Due to circumstances, Dave Taylor can no longer distribute Elm. In order for
Elm to continue, someone must take control. This "coordinator" can control
bug reports, suggestions, etc. and develop future upgrades. Credit for the
original design for Elm would be given to Dave Taylor, but any further
releases of Elm would have to be a product of the cooperation of all who
wish to participate.
Once a coordinator is chosen, that person can control distribution of the
sources. Until one is chosen, I will hold off posting 2.0gamma, and leave
it up to the coordinator.
As far as coordinating Elm, I will also volunteer to do so. I would like to
gather suggestions from others to improve Elm, and help it's continued
spread of usage. Also, before the initial posting, after all has been
decided, any current bugs could be fixed.
