Elm 2.0 has moved the various elm files into the $HOME/.elm directory. Their names have changed slightly too; they are no longer dot files. Elm does not even look at the .mailrc file since that is used for some other mailer, typically BSD mail. Elm has separate startup files (elmrc) and alias files (alias.text).
