Over the past years, we have not only manufactured technologically superior semiconductor products such as our 32-bit microcomputer family, but have also increased our output of interesting software products - including GENIX, a UNIX 4.1BSD implementation for our 32-bit microcomputer family with virtual memory management (NS16000, SERIES 32000). We are currently looking for a SOFTWARE PROJECT ENGINEER ------------------------- with sound detailed knowledge of UNIX. You will be responsible for the execution of ports of our GENIX operating system on varied customer-specific hardware, and for coordinating the work of your team. You will also be involved in the applications support of our software products under GENIX - a role that will later on entail further projects. You will have a close liason with hardware and software specialists based in Munich and at out Santa Clara (California) HQ. You will be the driving force of a fast-growing team within a dynamic development group. You will therefore need a high degree of independence, responsibility and dedication in addition to excellent technical knowledge. One foreign language (German or French) would be advantageous. We are also looking for a SERVICE MANAGER (SOFTWARE) -------------------------- You will be responsible for organising our software service group, and for coordinating and controlling our field service organisation. You will be the link to our HQ-based technical support group in Santa Clara, California, where you will spend several weeks each year. You should have sound UNIX knowledge plus several years experience with 32-bit computers. Experience in the organisation and management of a service function would be advantageous. A high degree of responsibility and independence is required, as well as the ability to work as part of a team. Knowledge of one foreign language (German or French) would be advantageous.
