Could the patches for elm be sent to the moderator of comp.sources.unix
so that people need not keep asking the same questions over and over ??

I am sure that the Elm development group would like to have everyone
use the most up-to-date version of elm instead of the initially posted
version. Not everyone reads comp.sources.bugs and comp.mail.elm. (Developers
do but most general users... :-) ) It is extremely easy to miss the patches.
It would be much better (in my opinion :-)) if the patches were posted to
comp.mail.elm, and to comp.sources.bugs as they are now *and* sent to the
moderator of the sources newsgroup. In this manner the patches could be
archived in many more places then they are now. Many of the questions of
"Where do I get patch .." or "Could some kind soul mail me patch ..." would
go away since people would know of an additional place to retrieve patches.
I understand that the reason the patches are posted to the non-sources groups
is for faster distribution of the patches. This is a wise approach to take
for developers but elm is being designed to be used by all. It sounds
ridiculous but there are sites that only run software posted to the
moderated sources newsgroups and no patch to that software is considered
"Official" unless the patch appears in the sources newsgroup.

Elm is a great package (a satisfied user since Msg).
Just trying to make it more accessible....
