I have tried to build and install ELM on a friend's new XENIX system. I've managed to build it with what I think are all the proper options (I've done it here several times). The main difference between my system and my friend's system is that I am using SMAIL 2.5 and he's not. The problem: he has problems replying to mail from my system (anything with a bang in the address or multiple addressees). It APPEARS that the XENIX rmail program doesn't like multiple addressees, but I don't know if ELM is doing something weird or not or if I'm missing something in the configuration options (I've RTFM several times) or what. Anyone got any suggestions?

According to itkin@mrspoc.UUCP (ps -f): >I have tried to build and install ELM on a friend's new XENIX system. The main difference between my system and my friend's >system is that I am using SMAIL 2.5 and he's not. In order of desirability, I would: 1. Install Smail 2.5 on his system. (Just move the binary!) 2. Install deliver on his system; tell Elm to use it as the mailer. (Someone from mrspoc picked up deliver PL8 about a week ago.) 3. Tell Elm to use /usr/lib/mail/execmail as the mailer.
