I have been hacking at my .forward file and studying the filter source code to try to figure out what is causing me to get bad headers when I use filter. It turns out that the problem is not filter's fault at all. The message fed to filter my sendmail has the odd headers that elm does not understand. The problem is (I think) the 'remote from <node>' message in the header. How can I get rid of it or convince elm to recognize it. By the way, my Unix 'mail' command also has trouble with these headers. Is my sendmail broken? -David- ----- example message ----- From david Mon Jun 5 04:53:04 1989 remote from wubios Received: by wubios.WUstl.EDU (4.1/Sun UNIX 4.0); Mon, 5 Jun 89 04:53:04 CDT From: david (David J.
