[comp.mail.elm] Am I wrong or is ELM wrong?

Hi Elm-world,

I have just noticed something about ELM 2.2 PL8 that strikes me as
wierd (sp?).

We all know about the discussion re. when to append signatures
(BTW, I think we should have an option to allow users (those who
know what's going on ;-) to choose the signature to be appended, else
use the default (have an elmrc-option, eg.)).

PL8 appends the signature when sending the mail according to it's
own algorythm (see postings re: .signature files) -> ok, I'll live
with that (for now ;-).

But why does it add a blank line between the end of my text as I
edited it and the '--' line before the append of the signature
file? Is this RFC822 (or whatever - I do admit that I'm not to
firm on RFC's - Europe doesn't seem to care about them ;-() or is it a
(minor) bug in ELM?

Cheers
