I just thought of a simple solution to this editor-exiting-with-nonzero-code problem. When you do this from the elm menu, it is no problem, since you can recover your message when by resending it. The problem is when you run elm from the command line to send a single message. Then, when the editor exits with a non-zero exit code, elm deletes the file you just finished generating. It is probably a simple change to tell elm to leave the file intact when the editor fails, allowing you to poke around on /tmp and recover your work. I know this is not a general-purpose solution, and is not satisfactory for the casual user, but it is an easy change that will help in a pinch. Since I am a new member of the elm development group, I will work on this myself, if I can get the alpha-test version compiled. :-) -David- -- Bitnet: david@wubios.wustl ^ Mr. David J.
