[comp.mail.elm] Bug: canceled bounces of mail leave left over tmp files

asp@uunet.UU.NET (Andrew Partan) (10/11/89)

If I bounce a message, and then say No when elm asks me if I really
want to send the message, a tmp file (/tmp/snd.$$.?) will be left when
I exit elm. It does not matter how I exit elm (either eXit or Quit).

This is elm 2.2 patchlevel 11 running on a Sequent (if that makes any
difference).

I think that I have noticed the symptoms of this before (lots of
leftover tmp files) while running on Suns (SunOS 3.[45]) under prior
versions of elm 2.2, but I no longer have access to that environment to
test check this out.
