This is a strange problem that you may be able to help me with. I had some elm sources on my disk (shar files) that I wanted to clean up. I had to determine what version of elm they were for before I could dispose of them. Alas, my simple-minded solution was to compile the source and look at the meanu title when it ran. Certainly there must be an easier way. What file is ther version number stored in? Any help will be appreciated. Thank you, -David- Bitnet: david@wubios.wustl ^ Mr. David J. You're going to kick your self, its in the README file at the top, and the 'patchlevel' is in the file hdrs/patchlevel.h. Looking only in the header files, the version is also in hdrs/defs.h in the string VERSION. -- ===================================================================== Sydney S.
