oops... let me clarify something... Imeant to say that XENIX's configuration of MMDF is such that in addition to the ^A^A^A^A line, it also adds the From_ line in messages. However, the From_ line is not used to separate messages in MMDF's view -- you could have other From_ lines embedded in MMDF messages. The additional From_ line is a "gimme", but chances are, you won't find those lines in folders created from other (non-xenix) MMDF installations. dan
