1. In readmsg a specific message can be specified by number, i.e. by position in the specified folder. If the usual ordering scheme for displaying messages is other than mailbox-order, the interpretation of numbers given to readmsg is counterintuitive. It would be much better, if readmsg would take a look at the elmrc file and behave accordingly. 2. Sometimes, one would like to change elmrc-options - just for a specific application; this could conveniently be embedded in specific shell scripts, aliases or -functions, if these options could be specified either by additional command-line flags or by environment variables.
