[comp.mail.elm] Problems with Elm uuxqt

usenet@supernet.UUCP (Usenet Administrator) (07/18/90)

Someone else posted saying that they were having problems with elm possibly
munging headers. We, too, have suddenly started having similar problems with
elm, after 2 or 3 days of it running just fine.

Here is a returned message that I got just today:

Return-Path: <iex!uucp>
Date: Tue, 17 Jul 90 15:23:44 -0600
To: supernet!root
Subject: uuxqt cmd (rmail robert ) status (signal 0, exit 67)

I beleive this is indentical to the previous poster's problem. We have,
however, had at least one other result; a signal 0, result 1.

This problem is distressing, since we had (have) high hopes for elm and would
like to see it work very well.

First off, are you sure its Elm.......

The return message is not enough to show anything, However, why would
rmail exit with a status of 67? Elm got the headers right enough
for the MTA to use uux and a rmail robert command, that actually
should be enough for delivery. I would look elsewhere for this
problem. I have not seen any problems with Elm and the headers yet,
but if one is found, PLEASE show how the headers are being munged.
