grw@fortune.UUCP (Glenn Wichman) (08/09/84)
bip.
After ~2.75 years of commuting 110 miles every day, I
am leaving my current position to stay closer to home, in
Santa Cruz. Right now I am interested in doing consulting
work. Things that I can do from home would be most prefer-
able, but I am willing to come "over the hill" occasionally
for the right project. Actually, I am willing to go any-
where on the planet (or further) for the right project.
I have excellent programming skills, and currently am
fluent in C, Pascal, and BASIC. I am a very fast learner
and I can pick up new languages quickly. I have about 5
years experience in software design and development. I also
have excellent writing skills, and excellent "people"
skills.
I am an illustrator and a cartoonist. Also, I have
designed a number of board games and computer games, includ-
ing "rogue" (with Michael Toy).
I speak German (but it's rusty), and I have been study-
ing Swedish. I've also picked up bits and pieces of French,
Spanish, Italian, etc. I am pretty good with languages.
I have also worked a bit in community theatre, as a
stage manager, set designer, and poster designer.
It's not on my resume, but I have also worked as a sum-
mer camp counselor and as a custodial host at Disneyland.
There's more, but I can see that I am boring you.
