[comp.mail.elm] Folder names with decnet connections

amaranth@vela.acs.oakland.edu (Paul Amaranth) (08/01/90)

I'm sure somebody has run into this before, but please be charitable.
We are using Elm 2.3 PL0.

We have a number of VMS machines networked with a number of Ultrix
boxes. When someone on a VMS box sends me mail, the return address is
Node1::Node2::User. Reply and all works find. But, if I have savename
ON and forcename ON, when saving the mail to a folder, it will try to
put it into =Node1, rather than =User, which is what I really want. Is
this fixed in one of the later patches?

Its pretty obvious what it's doing and why and the fix is probably
trivial, but I'd rather not dig into the code if I don't have to :-)

Thanks
