I recently upgraded from HP_UX 3.1 to HP_UX 7.0 (and from a 840 to a 832S) and when I used ELM 2.3 PL6 the following errors occurred: I can't understand line 23 in your ".elm/elmrc" file: > receivedmail = $HOME/Mail/received I can't understand line 38 in your ".elm/elmrc" file: > sentmail = $HOME/Mail/mail.sent I can't understand line 56 in your ".elm/elmrc" file: > alwaysstore = ON I can't understand line 59 in your ".elm/elmrc" file: > alwayskeep = ON I can't understand line 76 in your ".elm/elmrc" file: > bounceback = 0 I can't understand line 107 in your ".elm/elmrc" file: > promptafter = ON Deleting the original .elm/elmrc file and then starting ELM again generated the same errors. Also recompiling ELM brought no solution. Has anyone out there got a clue to what the .... is going on? Please Help!!!! I replied to Richard by e-mail already but this might be of interest to other HP users as well... Starting at the HP-UX 7.0 release, HP delivers its own version of Elm, which is based on some kinda Elm 2.1 version (don't nail me if I got some version number incorrect) and is therefore out of date. If you've been using Elm from the Elm Development Group, you don't want to use the HP version! When I upgrade to 7.0, one of the first things I did, is remove everything that was part of the Elm version that came with 7.0. thanks for your time, --[ Edwin ]-- -- Edwin Kremer (SysAdm), Dept. of Computer Science, Utrecht University Padualaan 14, P.O.
