Member of Technical Staff Interactive Graphics Computer Systems Research Group Philips Laboratories Philips Labs has immediate openings for researchers interested in graphics and human factors as relating to the design of consumer and commercial electronic products. We are looking for people with a Masters or PhD in Computer Science or Psychology. Programming ability is a must. A background in human factors and graphics is highly desirable. Knowledge of UNIX, LISP, C, and ACM's SIGGRAPH CORE is preferred. Philips has a long term commitment to research in human factors. We intend to use graphics to enhance our capabilities in man-machine interaction and rapid prototyping. We are interested in creating tools and gaining knowledge that would be useful in the development, production, and use of both consumer and professional electronics systems. (There is also a group working on AI.) Successful candidates will have the opportunity to influence our research directions. Philips Labs is the central research lab of North American Philips Company.
