[comp.mail.elm] Replying on an rs6000...

dbeedle@ux1.cts.eiu.edu (Dave Beedle) (01/28/91)

Hi all...maybe someone else has run into this...

We recently got elm to run on an IBM rs6000/530. Works great except for on
thing...when someone replys to a piece of mail _from a local person_ (that
is someone on the same machine) elm messes up the To address. If, for
example, I Reply to Joe on the same machine the address is assembled like
this: joe@the.same.machine.??. The addres is correct except for the
question marks at the end. Maybe its not getting a null terminated string?
Where would I look to fix this or is the some easyer way than to hack
around with the code?

   Thanks for any input folks!

PS: this only happens when replying to someone locally!
