[comp.mail.elm] Reply to From:

phil@wubios.wustl.edu (J. Philip Miller) (02/12/91)

A number of mail lists that I subscribe to generate a Reply-to: header which
points back to the list. Frequently, however, I want to send a reply to the
originator of the mail who is given in the From: header. Currently I have to
position the message (frequently displayed with 'h') and forward the message
to the appropriate address, typing in the address (more often than not with
errors :-(

There has to be a better way. In the IBM VM RiceMail program, the command
REPLYTO FROM will generate the appropriate headers. Is there a way in elm,
and if not, can we make one, e.g. 'F'
