[comp.mail.elm] PROB: "r"eply appends ctrl-R to same system address

When using the "r"eply function from elm to reply to an address on the same
system (uxa.cso.uiuc.edu) a control-R is appended to the address, thereby
creating a bogus address.  One fix for this is editing the headers before
sending the mail, but what is really going on?  This is happening for all users
of our machine.  I *have* mailed a sysadmin about this, but to my knowledge no
updates have been mailed within the past week or so (when this problem first
occurred).
