[comp.mail.elm] return address without headers

jdenune@saturn.sdsu.edu (John Michael Denune) (03/19/91)

I'm using ELM 2.3 PL0 and I really like the feel of it a lot. My only
complaint is that I can't seem to find a way to display the return address
of the person in addition to the name field without displaying the message
with headers. Is there any way to do this?

Thanks,
---Mike

I'm up at PL11 so I don't know if this was present "in the beginning"
but try, while in the index, pressing the percent sign, %. This could
display the computed return address of the current message which, if
present, the person's full name should appear as well. I think this
is what you are asking...

Almost, but not quite. (Thanks for the info, though. It helps.) What
I was hoping for was some way to display the return address in addition
to the name field when I display each message. (not in the index) I would
like to have it done automatically. Just another line up there with the
name field, subject, and date. Maybe there is a flag in elmrc?

Thanks,
---John
