[comp.mail.elm] Modifying aliases -- How?

st@eniac.seas.upenn.edu (Stephen W. Thompson) (03/27/91)

I've created aliases easily in elm, and deleted them as easily. What I can't
figure out is how to modify an existing alias. For example, how to correct
a spelling in a name, or change a group list by adding or deleting addresses.

I don't have the manual, so this could be an obvious answer.

[How do I get a text or postscript version of the manual, by the way?]

Thanks,
Steve

Inside elm, you delete and then add the alias again (yuk).

I usually just do it in vi. This means rebooting elm, but
such is the price of versatility [1].

While I'd like a modify, too, I'd even more like a "restart"
elm command, that reloads the elmrc and aliases...
